Once you have both the ROM for the game, which we will absolutely not provide, and the patch file you can download below, simply launch the software, locate both files and click "Patch". Their codes will be merged, generating a new ROM file that has the entirety of its text in English! It can be played both in emulators and real hardware. For your convenience, there are links to the exact version used in the making and application of this patch. If you own a copy of the game, follow the instructions at the link below to make your personal backup copy on which to apply the patch. XDelta 1.1.3 can be downloaded at: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ylwrdm4gmjz/psycoblaster_xDelta_GUI.zip Dumping your own roms: http://dshack.wikia.com/wiki/Dumping_your_own_DS_games ******************************* 4 Slate Unlocks ******************************* At set dates, Square-Enix released "codes" in the form of puzzle solutions to unlock additional content in the game. Once the main site was taken down, however, that knowledge was lost, or so people though. Fans like myself were able to recover that information and have included it in this patch in the form of attached images for your enjoyment. Be warned much of this content is considerably more difficult than any of the missions in the main story. To "unlock" each slate, touch the screen at the specified locations in the order shown in the images. The ten slates in order are: 1. Iron Slate 2. Crimson Slate 3. Chalk Slate 4. Frost Slate 5. Earth Slate 6. Mountain Peak Slate 7. Mythril Slate 8. Burning Slate 9. Dark Slate 10. Frozen Tear Slate ******************************* 5 Known Issues ******************************* * Text appears on-screen at a constant letter-by-letter rate during some story segments but depending on length of the text on the page, will start displaying faster near the end * Ending of main story supposed to have 3 pages; only displays the first. (A single page workaround is in place) * A handful of Ability names appear fine in the menu yet the first top left region of the first one or two letters is cut out for some strange reason. "Miasma", "Cold Cloak", "Flaming Spirit", "Lightning Cloak" and "Thunder Sigil" are the guilty ones. * Due to name length limitations in-game, some character names have been shortened as a compromise. If you have never played the Japanese version anyway, maybe this isn't so important. ******************************* 6 How You Can Help ******************************* Most of the fixes will be text related as there are simply not too many graphics to edit, but in any case, send me a mail at aaronrgc2@gmail.com along with what message you saw and where you saw it as well as any other information such as what you did up to that point. A screenshot can also work nicely.
